Our Story

How we ended up doing this

We pour and repair concrete around San Bernardino, everything from a two-car driveway to a backyard patio somebody's been wanting for years. Most of us got into this trade doing the grunt work, setting forms and running wheelbarrows, before we ever finished a slab ourselves. There's a lot of concrete work in the Inland Empire that was poured too thin or on bad base, and fixing that taught us more than any class did.

The reason a slab cracks, sinks, or spalls almost always traces back to what happened before the pour, not the concrete itself. We deal with soil that expands when it rains and shrinks hard in a dry summer, so a slab poured on loose or unprepared base is going to move with it. We compact the base properly, use enough rebar or mesh for the load the slab will actually see, and cut joints early so the concrete cracks where we tell it to instead of wherever it wants.

Why Choose Us

What you get when you hire us

None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.

Licensed and Insured

You're covered if something goes wrong on site, and certificates can be sent before work starts. That's not optional on a job involving heavy equipment and property lines.

Straight Written Quotes

We measure the job and give you a number for materials, labor, and any demo, in writing. No verbal estimate that changes once the truck shows up.

We Show Up on Schedule

Concrete work depends on timing, from the truck arriving to the finish work happening before it sets. We plan around that instead of making you wait around guessing.

Our Own Crew Pours It

We don't hand your driveway off to a sub we've never worked with. The same guys who walked your yard are the ones running the screed and the trowel.

Cleanup Included

Broken slab, forms, wash-out water, all of it leaves with us. You shouldn't be finding chunks of concrete in your flower bed a month later.

We Know the Local Ground

Soil out here shifts more in a dry summer than most homeowners realize. We adjust base depth and joint spacing for what's actually under your yard, not a generic spec.

Common Questions

Things people ask us

Questions about who's doing the work and how.

How long have you been doing concrete work?
Concrete work requires hands-on experience with base prep, forming, and finishing that typically takes years to build, since a mistake in any one of those steps shows up later as cracking or settling. Experience matters more in this trade than most, because a bad pour usually can't be fixed, only replaced.
Do you use your own crew or subcontractors?
Many concrete contractors run their own crew for forming, pouring, and finishing instead of subcontracting the work out, keeping the same people accountable from estimate to final finish. Some companies that advertise concrete work actually broker the job to a sub, so it's worth asking directly.
Can I see examples of past concrete work?
Photos of past driveways, patios, and repair jobs are typically available on request, and some contractors can point to addresses of past jobs in the same area. Seeing finished work in person, especially something poured a year or two back, shows how it actually holds up better than a photo taken right after the pour.
Why hire a local concrete contractor instead of a big national company?
A local concrete contractor deals with the same soil, climate, and city permit requirements on a regular basis, which means base prep and joint spacing get adjusted for actual local conditions instead of a generic spec sheet. Response time on a warranty issue or a follow-up question also tends to be faster when the crew isn't dispatched from out of the area.
Where are you based?
Heritage Concrete Solutions is based in San Bernardino, CA, and works throughout the surrounding Inland Empire.
Are you available on short notice?
Concrete jobs typically get scheduled a few weeks out, with spring and fall being the busiest pouring season due to milder weather. Smaller repair work can sometimes get fit in sooner than a full driveway or patio replacement.
Do you clean up after the job is finished?
Cleanup after a concrete job includes hauling off broken slab material, old forms, and wash-out water, not just leaving debris in a pile at the curb. A finished job site should look like nothing was demolished there, aside from the new concrete itself.
What happens if something gets damaged during the work?
General liability insurance on a concrete job covers accidental damage to a driveway, fence, sprinkler line, or other property during the work. Certificates of insurance can be requested before a project starts, and any damage should get addressed directly with the contractor rather than left unresolved.
Will you take over a concrete job another contractor started?
Taking over a concrete job another contractor left unfinished is common, though it usually starts with an assessment of what's already been poured or prepped. Base work done incorrectly by a previous contractor sometimes has to be undone before new concrete goes down correctly.
How can I tell if the concrete work is being done properly?
Checking concrete work involves looking at joint spacing, checking that the surface slopes away from the house for drainage, and confirming the slab thickness matches what was quoted. A contractor willing to explain the base prep and reinforcement used on a specific job is generally a good sign of quality work.
